 The Lost Patient (2022) ชายหนุ่มฟื้นขึ้นมาจากอาการโคม่าโดยไร้ความทรงจำในคืนที่ทั้งครอบครัวถูกฆ่าตาย เขากับจิตแพทย์เจ้าของไข้จึงต้องช่วยกันแก้ปมเพื่อไขความจริง หนังแนวจิตวิทยาที่เล่นเรื่องความจำที่หายไป ในเหตุฆ่าหมู่ชูบ้าน ที่มีเพียงแต่ผู้แสดงนำรอดมาได้ แต่ว่าก็นอนรุนแรงในโรงหมออยู่ 3 ปี จนกระทั่งฟื้นขึ้นมาพบว่าตนเองความจำไม่ดีและก็ยังเดินมิได้ โดยมีจิตแพทย์รอช่วยเหลือดึงความจำนั้นกลับมาเป็นพักๆเพื่อหาปัจจัยว่ากำเนิดอะไรขึ้นในเหตุการสังหารคราวนั้น

ก่อนจะเล่าเกิดเรื่องดราม่าลูกพี่ลูกน้องสองผู้ที่ผูกพันกัน ซึ่งตัวนำที่รอดมาพี่สาวงามที่มีนิสัยแล้วก็รสนิยมทางเพศที่มิได้เป็นแบบทั่วๆไป ตัวเขาเองก็แอบรู้สึกหึงในความเกี่ยวเนื่องที่เกิดขึ้นก็เลยตามเฝ้า ก่อนจะมีเรื่องมีราวราวของสตอลเกอร์ลึกลับเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้อง และลุกลามมาถึงเรื่องแปลกในโรงหมอที่ราวกับมีคนมานะตามฆ่าเขา ซึ่งตัวเรื่องอุตสาหะจะเล่นเรื่องความสับสนจากอาการรุนแรงทางจิตใจกับเส้นแบ่งข้อเท็จจริงของเรื่องราวที่ไม่แน่ว่าสิ่งที่หนังเล่ามานั้นเป็นอาการหลอน หรือความจริงของผู้แสดงนำ

แต่ว่าเชื่อเลยว่าผู้ชมส่วนมากคงจะทายใจเรื่องได้ถูกตั้งแต่อ่านพล็อตแล้ว ทำให้ตัวประเด็นนี้เกือบจะปราศจากความสดใหม่อะไรคงเหลืออยู่ ด้วยการพยายามดำเนินเรื่องย้อนแฟลชแบ็คกลายเป็นตอนๆตั้งแต่ก่อนเกิดเหตุจนกระทั่งตอนเกิดเหตุ

แต่ว่าก็มิได้มีฉากระทึกอะไรอย่างที่คอด ค่อนข้างจะเรียบเนิบๆตามสไตล์ภาพยนตร์ฝรั่งเศส ก็เลยแปลงเป็นการเสียเวล่ำเวลาเล่าอุทกภัยทุ่งถึงที่มาที่ไปเล่นๆที่ผู้ชมไม่น่าจะเชื่อตั้งแต่ตอนแรกแล้ว แม้ว่าจะเผื่อหัวใจไว้ว่าเรื่องบางทีก็อาจจะกลับบ้าง แม้กระนั้นข้อสรุปท้ายที่สุดของเรื่องก็มิได้ต่างไปจากที่เดาไว้นัก แม้ว่าจะมีจุดที่บางทีอาจจะเรียกว่าเพียงพอหลอกผู้ชมได้อยู่บ้าง แต่ว่าก็ไม่ถึงกับชักชวนให้ว้าวอะไรนัก

ตัวเรื่อง The Lost Patient (2022) ใช้ตัวละคนน้อยเพียงแต่ไม่กี่คนวนไปๆมาๆในโรงหมอ โดยแทบจะไม่มีหน้าที่สำคัญกับเรื่องเพราะว่าตัวเรื่องจำนวนมากย้ำย้อนไปเล่าในสมัยก่อนมากยิ่งกว่า ซึ่งก็รู้เรื่องได้น่าฟังนี่เป็นหนังทุนต่ำของเน็ตฟลิกซ์ที่บากบั่นขายบทหักมุม แต่ว่ามันก็ยังไม่ดีพอเพียงตั้งแต่ไอเดียเริ่มแรกอยู่แล้ว
